The Actor's restorative

A space for actors and performing artists to regulate the nervous system, release what’s been held through roles, and return to the stage more grounded, open, and connected to themselves.

a short walk from the Goodspeed Opera House East Haddam, CT

Acting asks performers to access deep emotion, presence, and vulnerability, often night after night.

Over time, the body begins to carry the work. And like any instrument, it needs space to reset.

This is a place to release what’s been held and return to yourself.

From there, something shifts.

You return to the stage more grounded, instinctive + fully in your power.

The Approach

Each session blends clarity with nervous system support — helping release tension, settle overwhelm + restore steadiness so your work can move through you more freely.

“Until I met Jaclyn, I had never experienced power that felt so rooted in love and so fully lived in the body. Even a single session, sometimes even a single minute in her presence, can dissolve years of confusion, concern, or pain. In just six months, she supported my physical body, my motherhood journey, my business, the consciousness of my film, and the future of my education nonprofit. She did not flinch at the scope of my purpose. She engaged. She merged. She cleared. She rallied. She cared.

She masterfully blends the practical with the unseen, yet always felt, and in my mind is already a leading force for lasting change at the intersection of medicine, wellness, earth wisdom, and community. Belief makes things real.

And Jaclyn Shea, among many other things, teaches you to believe in yourself again.

More. And more. And more. Until you become inevitable.”

Jaclyn Shea

integrative restoration practitioner and founder of river + rise studio

I’m Jaclyn Shea… Integrative Restoration Practitioner and founder of River + Rise, a restoration studio in East Haddam just a short walk from the Goodspeed Opera House and the East Haddam Swing Bridge.

Formerly a pediatric RN, I blend clinical understanding with integrative restoration to help people reset their nervous system and return to their work clear, grounded, and fully in their body + expression.

Much of my work supports artists and performers in reconnecting with the deeper intelligence that allows a performance to truly come alive.
